Last year, the closed beta of our Bible video game was tested by 5000 members of an international youth group. Get an inside look at how it all went down!
The Birth of an Idea
In the aftermath of the cancellation, it was decided to turn the project into a game, and Bible X was established as a department in BCC Media. The game would become an integral part of the Easter camp, intertwining entertainment and learning, and opening up an opportunity to test it with BUK, an international youth group of 5,000 members aged 13 to 25.
The Fusion of Game and Camp
Collaborating with event producers, a plan was crafted. BUK members would receive exclusive access to the game’s beta version three months before the camp. And to maintain global connectivity, we established a studio where we conducted live transmissions, analyzed gameplay, and engaged with players worldwide.
The Revelation of Success
The release of the game’s first chapter was met with nervous anticipation, however the response we received from BUK was overwhelming. Positive feedback flooded in, and players particularly enjoyed the social aspect of the experience. The game not only encouraged exploration but also fostered connections and fellowship among the players.
Learning and Fun Hand in Hand
The game successfully merged entertainment and meaningful engagement with Bible studies. Players eagerly looked forward to gaming sessions, demonstrating their enthusiasm for the unique combination of learning and enjoyment. For us at Bible X, our dream of making the Bible accessible, captivating, and enjoyable for young minds was achieved.
